Title: House of Hollow
Author: Krystal Sutherland
Genre: Mystery, Thriller, Horror
Series: Standalone
Age: Above 12+
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Thoughts:

Story follows three Hollow sisters; Grey, Vivi and Iris Hollow. They are also known as strange sisters. Because strange things happen around them. People are scared of them. They labelled them as witch.

It all started when they were children. At the eve of new year, three sisters got disappear in their parents watch. Their parents search for them everywhere, but there were no clue about their kidnapping. Then suddenly after 31 days they returned naked with identically half-moon scar carved on their throat and holding an ancient looking dagger (one kind of knife). They didn't remember anything from that 31 days of kidnapping.

Since then Hollow sisters are considered legend in their local community. People seems suspicious of them. They are with hair as white as milk with dark black eyes. Their beauty is ethereal. People are mesmerized by their look which sometimes get them in trouble.

Now, Iris youngest 17 year old do not want anything to do with the weirdness that follow them. She wants to live ordinary life and attend college. But her life turn upside down when her oldest sister Grey went missing  and strange thing start to happen again. Weird horned man is stalking them and dead bodies falls from her missing sisters ceiling and their is no clue about Grey.

Old memories start to creep in Iris mind and her sister disappearance may have been connected with their childhood incident. She wants to find Grey before anything bad happens to her which she may not ne lucky this time. But at the other end of search, some dangerous dark mystery is waiting for her. That will change her life forever.

This book is dark, creepy and full with mysteries. The atmosphere of book just pull you deep and when you finally finished it, you just wonder what have you read?

It revolve around the unbreakable sisterly bond in which one can die without other. It is journey of two sisters who goes on length to find the older one. Even though overprotective Grey seems to hide many secrets from them. But whatever it cost, they want to reveal it.

Although, throughout the book Grey is like ghost character which we get to know with past memories but she is one the most important character in the book. She is so complex, I don't know what to feel about her. It is really interesting to read about sisters that are so different from other. Grey is dangerous, Vivi is badass while Iris is the reasonable one.

The writing of this book is so good. It is kind of scary how some scenes feel so realistic. House of Hollow is definitely my one of the memorable book of this year!
