Verity by Colleen Hoover | Book Review

Colleen Hoover has once again shaken her readers with her extraordinary writing skill. Verity is different from her other romance book. It is filled with bone chilling experiences that are hard to forget even after finishing it.

Title: Verity
Author: Colleen Hoover
Series: Standalone
Age limit: 18+
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐✯

My Review:

I stretch truths where I see fit. I’m a writer.

Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer of suspense thriller books who is still unable to taste the success. With the increasing financial load and failed career, she accepts the offer that can help out of her situation.

Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish. Lowen reached Crawford’s home to go through Verity’s notes and papers for her inspiration. Where Lowen unexpectedly found an unfinished autobiography of author Verity.

This autobiography contains all the dark desires that Verity has hide from her husband and secrets behind the death of their twin daughters. Page after page of bone-chilling admission of now bed ridden author, has terrified Loren. She battles to reveal the true nature of Verity and her growing attraction to married man Jeremy.

But as her feelings grow for devoted husband of Verity, she thinks it will be good if Jeremy know the horrific doings of Verity. And maybe finally, he will learn to hate Verity.

Find what you love and let it kill you.

This book is truly a masterpiece. It hooked me from the start. I love how author has managed to merge the reality and imaginary world of words. It characters were beautifully created and character development was  gradually done. It manage to portray the thin line between love and obsession. The only problem I have found on character of Lowen, she seemed to stuck on same repeat cycle and sometimes she really annoyed me. At the end of the book, you just can't distinguish between the truth and lie.
