A Study In Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro | Book Review

Clever twist to classic story of Sherlock Holmes, this debut novel of Brittany Cavallaro is an entertaining read.

Title: A Study In Charlotte
Author: Brittany Cavallaro
Genre: Mystery, Thriller.
Category: Series
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Thoughts:

This is such a explosive book with page turning mystery. It hooked me up from the first page to last. This is a perfect read for detective story lovers.

This story revolves around Charlotte Holmes, yes she is great-great-great-granddaughter of famous detective Sherlock Holmes. Just like this iconic detective, his family has kept the legacy of producing famous detectives. Charlotte is the youngest progeny of Holmes family, extraordinary but mischievous.

But then there is James Watson, great-great-great-grandson of famous Dr. Watson. A hot headed handsome rugby player with heart of nerd. This were always meant to be each other's best friends. Star cross friendship starts when this two english teenagers stumbled upon each other's path in American College.

But the friendship that was always meant to be looked different in reality. Genius Charlotte doesn't need friend specialy someone who is related to Dr. Watson. But fate has different plan. There is killer on the loose who is a big fan of Sherlock Holmes stories. Students starts to die and all fingers are pointed toward this duo.
Now, this polar opposite characters have to put their differences aside and work together to solve this case before they become the target themselves.

I love this book so much. It has perfect twist to classic Sherlock Holmes stories. Character of Charlotte was perfectly written and so does the Jamie's. This story is told by the Jamie's POV which is quiet rare. And the tension between these two is so good that you root them from the start.

Definitely worth read.!!
